FIRST OF ALL – WOW , what a great start to our season of competing ! The dancers did an AMAZING job & the amount of support shown by parents, friends, and our staff & students was INCREDIBLE!  I was so so so SOOO proud of how everyone cheered one another on, and smiled , and laughed, and HAD FUN !!! It is how competition SHOULD be !!!  THANK YOU TO ALL MY FABULOUS STAFF.  Your pieces were amazing & I was honored to have them represent my studio. Your creativity and passion showed and were all winners in my book !  The dancers were energized, ready, performed their hearts out,inspiring,….. SO proud! 

My moms , you are ROCK STARS behind the scenes !  The girls looked ready & costumes looked steamed, professional, and NO HATS FELL OFF !!!! Fast changes , low stress :)….. WINNERS, all of you ! 

IF you didn't hear, WE WON TOP STUDIO AT MASQUERADE!  It was the first team this season to win with 10 ULTIMATE ELITE awards !!! WOW !! you have no idea how insane that is !  really ! 

I am beyond proud of all of you ! I smiled all the way home thinking about what they all accomplished and how much they truly enjoy the passion I so love – DANCE !

NOTES FROM GROOVE:

We recommend arriving at least an hour and a half before your
scheduled performance time, as we may run ahead of schedule or may need to run slightly out of order due to
quick changes. Please do your best to have all entries prepared to perform at their scheduled performance time.

Master Classes – Optional / 

 Master classes are free to all registered participants at every regional event. Please check the
general schedule for details regarding the master classes. Classes will be geared towards the age group
participating that day, but all age groups are welcome to take every class. All master classes take place on the
stage. You do not need to pre-register for these ahead of time; all dancers registered for the event are allowed to
take the master classes. We suggest getting to the classes roughly five minutes before they start so the dancers
have time to warm up on their own a bit prior to the class starting.

Sunday, April 14, Senior Contemp class 7:00=7:45am 

Dressing Rooms – Dressing rooms will be assigned by studio. Signs will be posted throughout the venue and you
will be able to find out exactly where you dressing room is located by visiting our information booth located in the
lobby area. Please remain within your designated dressing room area. Upon checking in the first day, your check-in
representative at our information booth will inform you where your studio’s dressing room is located. We ask that
each studio remember to share the dressing space accordingly and that we want to keep this environment fun and
friendly at all times. We suggest that any and all items that are brought into the venue be brought back out at the
end of each night as Groove cannot be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. 

Live Stream – Groove will be live streaming during select regional competitions as well as at both of our National
Finals. You can access our live stream by visiting our Facebook page or by visiting our website
www.groovecompetition.com, selecting “Photo & Video” from the top navigation bar and then clicking on “Groove
Live.” You can share this live stream with all of your friends and family that are near and far so they can tune in to
any dances during that weekend!

 Spectators – We love that your studio has a great support system! We do have a few recommendations for the
spectators you will be bringing: Please remind them that there is no outside photography or video recording of any
kind allowed during performances. Photos may be taken during master classes and awards only. Remind your
spectators to get there early. Groove is well-known for keeping our events moving, therefore, there is a chance
that a dance may go before its scheduled performance time. Recommend carpooling! Some of our events do get
quite full and every event has a different parking layout.
Food – Food and beverages are STRICTLY PROHIBITED inside our performance venue (with the exception of water).
