Hello LE Dance family,
I know we are all very unsure right now with the closings, and online studies, quarantine, social distancing…… It is unchartered grounds. I have had great heartache this last week, however, removing LE Dance from me almost seems unbearable. God has given me great strength and I am trusting. My husband lead by faith, and I must do the same.
Our LE Dancers, faculty, parents have all worked very hard in preparation for competition season, just as many of our seniors have worked towards their graduation. Postponing seems to be the "hot" word right now. The correspondence I have had from our competitions is that they are working to "re-book" for farther out dates (trying to anticipate CDC guidelines) . None of us has the "crystal ball" to forsee what is coming. I like to be optimistic (glass half full). I am hoping to compete. It may not be in April as we anticipated, but perhaps May or June or July. We will see what happens, and move forward together. I know our dancers are feeling unfulfilled but we will compete again, just later. No one can tell us when that will be, but right now we need to be safe and healthy. We must think of others (siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, teachers, doctors, police…….)
Our LE Dance Insta will start on Monday with some Quarantine Improv Challenges. Masquerade Dance is also posting challenges for dancers. Miss Liz is working to provide some stretch/flex/barre classes to help our dancers continue their dance progress. I hope you are taking the time to practice all your competition dances, stretching, strengthening, and just dancing to dance.
I am missing you all and you can feel free to send me videos, texts, emails……. We can stay connected :). Think positive my loves. WE must be the ray of sunshine for others. Hugs from my computer !
Love,
Ms Liz & Staff 🙂
