A dancer should always be appropriately dressed and groomed for dance class. It is part of the self discipline that goes hand in hand with dance training, and is evidence of the student’s responsibility and commitment.
We appreciate your acceptance of our policies. We all benefit from the extra effort made in upholding them. THANK YOU!

Modern Classes:

Appearance
Legwarmers & body warmers may be worn as long as they do not hide the body line. ABSOLUTELY NOt-shirts or sweats may be worn in ANY class. Jewelry is to be kept minimal for safety reasons. It should not be distracting. Hair needs to stay out of the face — in a bun or clipped up to stay secure. Students who have issues of hair continually coming out of place, will be asked to go to the restroom and fix it securely. It becomes distracting and takes away from instruction when students are continually readjusting their hair.
Behavior
Good manners are expected of all who enter LE Dance. Please keep a low volume in conversation. Visual and audible distractions take away from the students learning. Running and chewing gum are not acceptable behaviors at LE Dance.
Be prompt to class! Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early with all needed items. Full attention is required to progress in any dance class. Casual talking during class is a distraction to others and will not be tolerated. Students who arrive late, missing warm ups, will be asked to observe (for safety and distraction reasons). If you need to leave a class prior to teacher’s dismissal, please be courteous and inform the instructor at the beginning of the class. Restrooms should be used PRIOR to class.
If your child is using the study room, waiting room or hallways to eat or study please make sure they clean up after themselves.
All siblings visiting the studio should be accompanied by an adult and not left unattended for play.
Placement
Students are placed in dance class levels based on ability not age. The first two weeks of class are considered evaluation periods, in which a student may be asked to change to a level more suited to their needs. Students may stay in a particular level of dance anywhere from 1-3 years until they have mastered the curriculum of that level.
Facility
LE Dance is a newly renovated dance center with four beautiful studios, waiting lounge, office, study room and party rooms. In order to keep our facility top notch, we ask that everyone pitch in to keep it looking neat & clean.
- Water ONLY is allowed in the studios. For students taking 2 hours or more an evening, drinks and snacks may be consumed in the waiting lounge ONLY.
- Drinks must have a lid or cap to prevent spills. Any accidental spills need to be reported to the office manager immediately.
- Students are responsible for cleaning up after themselves prior to leaving the area. Please make sure all articles brought into the dance center (bags, back packs, coats, etc.) are taken home at the end of your class. Articles left will be placed in the lost & found in the waiting lounge.
- Students are expected to be picked up in a timely manner. It is important for our instructors to leave promptly at the end of the evening. If you must be late, please let us know ahead of time, so we may plan accordingly.
Weather
The studio will be closed if the road conditions are unsafe. In many instances, schools close, but by 4:00pm roads are fine. Therefore, please check our website, your emails*, OR call the studio to find out if classes are being cancelled.
